Bernhardt Family Collection 1800-1902

This collection consists of 19th century correspondence and documents related to members of the Bernhardt family. A large portion is related to Moritz David Bernhardt including his school certificates, naturalization and citizenship documents, personal correspondence to his son, and professional correspondence related to his work as a distiller. There is also the personal correspondence of Elkan Nathan Levi and character references (Leumundszeugnisse) for Isaac Salomon Bernhardt and Moritz Bernhardt.
