Partition of the amino acids in ileal digesta from piglets protein diets

Ileal digesta were collected via a post-valve-T-caecum cannula from piglets ( lo-15 kg) fed diets based on raw pea or on pea protein isolate (Finale or Frijaune variety). From the determined amino acids (AA) content of feed and digesta, AA apparent digestibility coefficients and proportions of proteins (endogenous, bacterial, dietary) theoretically present in digesta were calculated.
