This study was designed to examine the effects of living situation (Greek affiliation and housing) on eating disorders and body image concerns. Participants (N = 107, 61 % female) completed a questionnaire on exercise habits, eating habits, and perceptions of the ideal body image. Contrary to our hypothesis, none of these measures varied significantly over living situation. However, women were significantly more likely than men to worry about their body image (p <.05), and worry about friends struggling with body image problems (p <.05). Our research suggests that gender plays a greater role in factors concerning body image than living situation
