Abstract. The classes ¤ of meromorphic functions in C of ¯nite ¸-type were introduced and studied by L. A. Rubel and B. A. Taylor. The representation problem for meromorphic functions from ¤ as quotients of entire functions from ¤ without common zeroes, the so-called canonical quotient representa-tions, is considered, in this paper. It is shown that this problem reduces to the study of growth majorant properties of entire functions with restrictions on their zero quantities
