Reflections in a binaural room impulse response (BRIR) can be classified into 2 groups: the early reflections and a reverberation tail. The aim of this work is to determine at which time a transition from early reflections to late reverberation can be said to occur. In the literature several suggestions exists for the determination of a such transition time, based on objective room parameters. How-ever, these lead to different values, and none may relate gener-ally to a perceptually justified transition time.
