ABSTRACT. — Nannoplankton from the stratigraphic sections of Eocene formation have been determined and used to establish the biostratigraphy and paleogeography of the area in Gelibolu peninsula adjacent to the bay of Saros. These Eocene formations of about 3600 m in thickness are represented lithologically by conglomerates, sandstones, mudstones and a variety of limestones. 77 Nannoplankton species have been distinguished in Karaağaç limanı, Koyun limanı, Fıçıtepe, Soğucak, Burgaz, Korudağ-Keşan and Kanlıbent formations.
