A dusty plasma is a complex system containing electrons, ions and massive dust grains. The presence of dust grains determines new specific phenomena. Studying this system using fluid equations, the influence of charge variation of the dust grains on the nonlinear structures present in dusty plasma is discussed. For the case of nonlinear dust acoustic waves, a KdV equation, describing the local potential evolution, is derived using the multiple scales approach. The influence of the dust charge variation on the KdV equation coefficients is determined. 1
