This paper is aimed at reviewing the information from previous bluefin tuna (Thunnus thynnus) tagging research activities in order to plan future conventional tagging surveys, the identification of the ideal tagging areas and seasons for the purposes of describing and quantifying movements between the birth, wintering and feeding areas of bluefin tuna juveniles around the Iberian peninsula. Another of the objectives of this study was to estimate the survival and recovery rates of juveniles of bluefin tuna based on data collected from these tagging surveys.
