This study is an attempt to investigate the relationship existing between childrearing pattern and secondary school students ’ choice of career. The sample of this study was 410 SSIII students, which were drawn from 30 Secondary schools in Rivers State of Nigeria using simple random sampling technique. In each of these schools, one arm of SSIII class was randomly selected. Three research questions and three hypotheses were formulated and tested. The result, of the analysis showed that a significant relationship existed between parental child rearing patterns and secondary school students’ choice of career.
