Something is lacking in the world equilibrium, in the dialogue of the cultures. Africa and the West have and have had many disproportionate encounters. The first one was slavery. The western responsibility has been recognized but the debt is too heavy to be paid in monetary terms. According to President Abdoulaye Wade of Senegal, the logic of such a payment is like an abuse: “I would feel sworn at if I was asked how much I want to forget slavery ” (Robert, 2004, p.82).
