This paper is concerned with the review of power quality monitoring. Different kinds of disturbances that affect power quality have a bib importance in the industry. To define with exactitude the cause and origin of this disturbances, that propagate through the net, is a complex problem that needs a correct monitoring and analysis to propose correcting actions. First, aspects related to power quality monitoring are reviewed. Last, an algorithm that allows to determine the disturbance origin is proposed and commented
