We give a combinatorial interpretation of the Fibonacci numbers, then use this interpretation as a tool for finding combinatorial proofs of q-analogs of well-known Fibonacci identities. Thought is also given to different generalizations of the Fi-bonacci numbers as well as to our combinatorial interpretation.
