This paper discusses the reliable and robust H ∞ control problem for a class of descriptor systems with parametric uncertainties and external disturbances in the case of actuator failures. By solving a set of matrix inequalities, a sufficient condition and a controller are obtained for the reliable and robust H ∞ control problem of the descriptor systems
