Abstract. The Stokes equations for the axial symmetric slow motion generated by a plane, approaching towards a solid surface allowing slippage, have been solved in this paper by using finite Hankel transform. The squeeze film pressure between the two rigid faces is then obtained. It is found that the roughness parameter d=4, where d is the separation between the two surfaces, causes an extremely high pressure on the surface
