Abstract: In the present study, six Indian medicinal plants (Pavoniaodorata, Gardenia latifolia, Canthiumdicoccum, Limoniamonophylla, Brideliaroxburghiana and Wrightiatinctoria) are mainly focused for cytotoxicity and anti-proliferating property.Crude methanol extract is obtained for each plant extract using a soxhlet apparatus. 10 mg/ml of extracts of each plant are tested for MTT assay using Calu-6, Colo-205 and HL-60 cells. Based upon the result MTT assay PavoniaodorataandWrightiatinctoria were selected for wound healing assay and cell cycle analysis using Calu-6 cells.
