Studies of airborne particulate matter are increasingly important, because of the need to understand their behaviour and their impact on humans. This investigation was focused on the mineralogical and geochemical characteristics of airborne particulates (PM10), which were collected with three different devices in June 2007 near the centre of Strasbourg (France) at 30m above ground. An active sampler (Digitel DHA-80) was used to collect PM10 on a teflon filter, which allowed for the subsequent analysis of the bulk chemical composition by ICP-MS (VG PQ 2+).
