Abstract — A new block coded modulation scheme is proposed. The proposed code construction is based on the use of product codes to concatenate a set of coded blocks. The multistage decoder adopts two kinds of decoding algorithms to achieve high coding gain with reduced complexity. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can achieve significant coding gains over uncoded systems. Key Words — Block coded modulation, iterative decoding
