Abstract. This paper establishes the vibration model of the smart composites beam featuring magnetorhe-ological fluid (MRF). The vibration analysis is finished under different magnetic field strength. The results show that the natural frequencies and loss factors of the MRF beam are increased with increasing applied magnetic field strength. The structural vibration responses are reduced significantly. The vibration of sand-wich beam with MRF gets effective suppression for applied magnetic field
