Abstract: Three Mexican and two Egyptian durum wheat genotypes were crossed using scaling test analysis during 2005/2006, 2006/2007 and were evaluated in 2007/2008 season at Assiut. Results showed that A, B and C scaling test were highly significant for most studied traits. Meanwhile, the additive-dominance model was adequate to demonstrate the genetic variation and it important in the inheritance of no. of spikes/plant and grain yield/plant. Both additive and dominance parameters were important in the inheritance of most studied traits. But the dominant component was the largest in magnitude in most crosses for most traits studied.
