As “international ” business programs proliferate throughout the world, the mixing of cultures creates new teaching challenges. We describe a personal experience in which an American professor coped with cultural differences at INSEAD in France. End-of-course student evaluations revealed a variety of problems that the professor needed to resolve. He applied principles of continuous improvement in the next course he taught at INSEAD. The principles applied here should be broadly applicable to college professors, not only those working with “international ” students. I
