In Exploding a Myth: Student Affairs ' Historical Relationship with Technology, I asserted that “there is little [historical] evidence…that student affairs administrators and researchers regularly and systematically sought to understand how and why students used technology and the impact on their development ” (Guidry, 2008, para. 7). Although the evidence supports that statement, in recent years researchers and administrators in research centers, professional organizations, and administrative departments have begun collecting, analyzing, and publishing reliable data about students ’ use of technology.
