Increasing the number of start ups and business suc-cessions and improving the support for young entre-preneurs is internationally of high importance for eco-nomies and labour markets (European Commission 2004a,b, Schauer et al. 2005). Numerous studies show a strong correlation between entrepreneurial compe-tence, especially implicit entrepreneurial knowledge (Staudt et al. 1997), and the success of start ups (Ga-ravan & O'Cinneide 1994, van der Sluis et al. 2004). Massive public investments led to an expansion of the support infrastructure and to a growth on the supply side of training, coaching, information and financing for nascent entrepreneurs and start ups.
