Results of tests on silicon strip detectors which will be used for the ZEUS Microvertex detector are presented. The sensors use capacitive charge division with a readout pitch of 120 mm with five intermediate strips equally spaced. The design criteria and the performance of the detectors have been studied in electrical and testbeam measurements for unirradiated and irradiated detectors. # 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
