Sally Jeanrenaud is an independent consultant on environment and rural development, based in Switzerland. She has worked in rural development forestry in Asia and Africa since 1984, and is currently a doctoral student at the School of Development Studies, University of East Anglia. (The subject of her thesis is, People-Oriented Conservation: Beyond the Rhetoric). Jean-Paul Jeanrenaud is Head of the Forest Unit, WWF-International, Gland, Switzerland.
