In this paper, we propose an optimal deployment of police patrol cars for the department of trac police. The lexicographic goal programming model was used to formulate the police patrol car deployment problem. In this study, dierent road segments and shifts were considered. To demonstrate the model, we have focused on the metropolitan city, Delhi (Central), as a case study. Sensitivity analysis on the budget and number of patrol cars has been performed to identify the best possible solution
