RCsumt- Nous prksentons ici une revue de rtsultats recents obtenus par diffusion de rayons X provenant d'une source synchrotron. Nous avons CtudiC la rugositk thermique de Ag (1 lo), ainsi que la rugositk et la dCconstruction de la surstructure 1x3 de Au (1 10). Les expkriences sur Ag (1 10) mettent en tvidence une transition rugueuse A TR = 450°C. Au dessus de TR, la phase rugueuse est caractkriske par des fluctuations de hauteur A divergence logarithmique. Pour la face (1 10) de l'or, on trouve qu'A Tc = 485°C la surstructure 1x3 subit une transition rkversible vers une structure incommensurable. Les mesures suggkrent que la surface devient A la fois rugueuse et se deconstruit au cours de la transition commensurable-incomme...
