As this subject is so personal to each individual and each society they inhabit, this article is personal in both its nature and content. I hope to show that as I consider morality to be an abstract concept, and that it is difficult to put it into any one category of behaviour, that this means that moral education cannot be defined categorically either. This article is essentially a discussion between me and the reader about what I consider moral education to be, based on my own experience of it and the reading and research into it I have undertaken.
