Abstract — Scientific advancements have made it possible to keep people alive with increasingly severe impairments, and the general population is ageing. The healthcare system must manage a larger number of people with independence difficulties related to physical, cognitive or sensory disabilities. It is vital to optimize healthcare services to manage this challenge and improve quality of life for these individuals.
