Supervision’s role within counselor education programs is a definitive process that distinguishes our profession from others in similar fields. (Sexton, 1998). Many doctoral students begin the supervision process with minimal formal training and in some cases an insufficient knowledge base. (Gardner, 1995). As doctoral students graduate into a supervisory role within their program, they tend to be faced with many unanswered questions and seek innovative methods to assist their practicum and internship students.
