QUALITY MODELS AND SYSTEMS AND THEIR INFLUENCE TO THE BUSINESS

This is an analysis of the theory, methodology and business practice used to measure quality. The models and are presented and some of its elements are discussed in relation to its influence on the competitiveness of Lithuanian business. Special attention is given to new aspects in quality assessment, in particular, social quality. The fundamental elements of these qualities are also presented. The authors conducted surveys of Lithuanian businesses and consumers and has used this data to formulate and test the model and interpret its elements.
