Genomic imbalances are a major cause of constitu-tional and acquired disorders. Therefore, aneuploidy screening has become the cornerstone of preimplan-tation, prenatal and postnatal genetic diagnosis, as well as a routine aspect of the diagnostic workup of many acquired disorders.
