ABSTRACT: Scientific papers are written to a rigid format, composed of 4 sections, which correspond with the stages of the scientific method. This essay describes the relationship of the standard sections of a paper to the stages of the scientific method. Also for discussion will be the timing of the preparation of the paper and the rela-tionship between the experimental protocol and the even-tual paper. Writing scientific papers is a great obstacle for many people, or perhaps for most people. But it is really not all that hard.
