ABSTRACT. International Atomic Time and Coordinated Universal Time are calculated at the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures on the basis of international cooperation for time keeping. The process of calculation has been progressively adapted to the technology improvement in clocks and time transfer techniques, as well as to the increasing accuracy of primary frequency standards.
