Abstract—The Mössbauer effect results from the fact that the emission and the absorption of gamma rays may occur in a recoil-free fashion. Consequently, this technique leads to the experimental measurement of the hyperfine interactions between the resonant nuclei and their surroundings. In addition to its use in material analysis, the wide applicability of the Mössbauer effect in condensed matter is of great importance in a number of fields including magnetic properties, charge density, phase transformation, atomic diffusion, lattice vibration, and texture and stress effects
