In this paper, we present a comparative simulation and evaluation of digital cameras using spectroscopy, colorime-try and photogrammetry. Here, we compare the output of commercially available cameras to that yielded using the CIE-1931 colour standard and the colour matching func-tions proposed by Stiles and Burch [14]. We present a method to estimate the colour yielded by trichromatic cam-eras based upon their spectral response. We then present the results on three experimental vehicles and three com-mercially available cameras.
