A dynamic bleach plant model has been developed for the DYSCO (DYnamic Simulation and COntrol) simulation program. Each bleaching stage of a CEDED is modeled separately and the entire bleachery is established by combining the individual process modules. The chlorination stage and chlorine dioxide stage are the time dependent models. The present system contains only material balance calculations; the energy balance is not considered. The models are concerned only with chemical species and make no attempt to predict measures of pulp quality such as brightness or viscosity. The integrated model has been tested and the results of a steady-state and a dynamic simulation are presented.-1
