This paper is the result of an initial project aimed at exploring the conditions and opportunities for anchoring and implementing regional development planning in Denmark. The paper mainly adopts a descriptive position that focuses on a governance framework for planning and policy-making to further discuss strengths and challenges concerning regional development planning processes and strategies. The expected outcome of the paper is threefold: i. to describe and discuss a governance framework pointed toward regional development planning; ii. to delve into the current regional development planning situation in the Danish context, and iii. to establish a number of research questions aimed at determining further steps that could contribute in ...
