The authors analyzed the relation between lactation history, organochlorine serum levels—in particular, 2,2-bis(p-chlorophenyl)-1,1,1-trichloroethane (DDT) and 1,1-dichloro-2,2-bis(p-chlorophenyl)ethylene (DDE)—and the risk of breast cancer within a subsample from a larger breast cancer case-control study conducted among women living in Mexico City, Mexico, between 1990 and 1995.
