Abstract—A multihop WiFi mesh network is a wireless network that provides multihop data forwarding services base on 802.11 technologies. However, the original 802.11 MAC and all the recent MAC enhancements (e.g., 11e, 11i, 11k) are designed primarily for one-hop wireless networks and thus, provide no end-to-end consideration or coordination beyond a single hop at all.
