Abstract: Recently, there have been many efforts to develop middlewares supporting applications in managing distributed data in Grid computing environment. Although these research activities address various requirements in Grid data management, none of them provides a general solution for this task, which can be applied to a variety of application domains. In this paper, we introduce a comprehensive Grid Data Management (GDM) framework, which aims at effectively meeting basic and indispensable requirements of distributing, accessing and integrating data in Grid environment in a secure manner as well as monitoring, analyzing performance and billing.
