Abstract: Recently, Internet services are very pervasive and affecting our daily life greatly. The Connection-less IP Network is the Internet infrastructure nowadays. However, Internet is based on best effort service principles and lacking of QoS mechanisms and traffic engineering. This makes multimedia applications in IP networking still face some challenges such as delay time, packet loss and low reliability. This research proposes enhanced genetic routing scheme, dual homing and bandwidth reservation techniques to improve an MPLS based IP networking performance and meet differential services CoS and QoS demands.
