A benchmark is a standard by which something can be measured or judged. A database benchmark is defined as a standard set of executable instructions which are used to measure and compare the relative and quantitative performance of two or more database systems through the execution of controlled experiments. Benchmarking is therefore a process of evaluating different database software systems on the same or different hardware platforms. Each experiment is made up of two kinds of variables. One is the set of independent variables which will affect the performance of database systems and areComparing Object-Oriente
