Energy consumption of the nodes is an important issue while designing multicast routing algorithms for MANETs ’ and therefore, an efficient routing protocol needs to be energy conserving so that battery life of each individual node as well as lifetime of the network can be prolonged. This paper proposes a power efficient multicast routing protocol for mobile ad hoc networks called “Power Aware Multicast Reactive Routing Protocol (PAMRRP)”. It uses power aware metrics to extend the lifetime of each mobile node and the whole network as well
