Timber-framed buildings have been studied in Finland in a large-scale study by Tampere University of Technology and Helsinki University of Technology. In this paper the results of ventilation rate measurements (both anemometer and tracer gas measurements) and ventilation sound pressure level measurements are presented. Also, the total energy consumption of the houses and the overall fulfilment of given regulations and recommendation values in different areas are discussed. Measured ventilation rate of the houses was about 0.4 1/h. Bedroom supply ventilation did not in most of the houses reach the recommended values.
