Structural and Functional Changes of Leaf of Buckwheat Forms in Process of Plant Ontogenesis

The main purpose of cultivated in Russia buckwheat varieties is maximal yield of fruits of high quality with following processing into buckwheat groats. So, in the process of selection they define and select morpho- and biotypes that answer these requirements. Nowadays limited-wranching varieties are being widely involved into breedoing process, also fonns with physiologic or genetic detennined growth of stalk, with changed leaf morphology, that promote optimization of ratio of vegetative and reproductive parts of plant (6). As far as structure and function of organs of plant is inseparably connected, influence on one of these components by means of selection or technology of cultivation causes definite changes of another and creation of new linkage within the whole plant organism (2,4). The main task of our research work was investigation of changes in morphology, anatomy and function of leaf of different breeding morphogenetic fonns of buckwheat in the process of ontogenesis with dependence on their water supply.
