This paper aims at quantifying the load contribution in damping of a multi-machine system on the basis of sensitivity analysis. In the proposed method, firstly the resonant frequencies of the power system are identified using cross-correlation (autocorrelation) and after that load transfer functions are identified. Then the right modal matrix can be determined by evaluating the load transfer function at the power system resonant frequency.
