In an incremental modeling process each model can be considered as a prototype for the next modeling iteration. This paper presents a web-based approach to enhance the prototyping process by providing tools to remote domain experts enabling the customization of behavior model simulation and its sharing over the internet. In order to improve the analysis and validation phases, the simulation results are also distributed and shared using the Web. A joint work involving computer scientists and an entomologist led to the development of DA VINCI, a simulation platform for an artificial ant society which implements this approach
