I am greatly indebted to three individuals throughout my doctoral studies. My deepest appreciation goes to Dr. Susan Rose, my advisor and mentor on my long journey to the PhD degree. Without her encouragement, support and belief in my ability, it is hard to imagine that I would reach the completion of my doctoral degree. My appreciation goes to Sung-ja Kim, my mother.
