In this paper, we present an analysis on the forest backscattering parameters and the new application of the modified four component model decomposition on a part of an European types of forests which are classified in the temperate forests. The randomness of the medium represented by the entropy has been introduced with the four scattering components to extend the classes from 4 to 12 depending on the degree of the randomness. Finally, the results of the extended decomposition were used as training set for the initialization of the Wishart classifier
