Abstract – The variable speed wind turbine generator with doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) is today widely used concept. This paper presents a control system of the doubly-fed induction generator wind turbine with focus on the control strategies and on active power reference value choice. The present control method is designed for super-synchronous, subsynchronous and synchronous working modes. In order to investigate the dynamic responses during step load of doubly fed induction generator connected to the electric grid (EG), a model has been developed.
